For us it is a privilege to be part of the St. Thomas Aquinas community. To be able to volunteer in the Church and be part of a community that gives unconditionally to represent the Holy Eucharist and our Christ Jesus is a blessing. We are so grateful for our Father God, and to perform an act of grace through the Church fills our marriage and our lives with joy and happiness.
The opportunity to donate to the Church and the DDD program symbolizes for our family the love of the Holy Eucharist and the gratitude to our God the Father for all the blessings we receive in our daily lives.
As long-time volunteers and contributors to the Diocesan Development Drive we, personally, have witnessed the incredible fruits of our labor, and the collective labor of many.
Jesus taught that through the Eucharist he will always be with us. This alone is the greatest gift of all and, thankfully, through the Eucharist, it is a gift that each one of us can share with one another every day of our lives. Through this gift Jesus embeds within us an “Attitude of Gratitude” which sustains all of us in everything we do. His love empowers us to express our gratitude by giving back through all we have received. Together, we have found one way of doing this is by participating in and giving of our treasure to the annual Diocesan Development Drive (DDD). We have seen how our gift of time and treasure to the DDD over many years has provided the resources to support programs and services such as Utah Catholic Schools, Seminarians, Diaconate Formation, Rural Mission Outreach, Hospital, Prison Ministries, and Catholic Community Services.
By giving annually to the DDD we have expressed our “Attitude of Gratitude” to our Utah Catholic Community who, in turn, give back to us every day.
We don’t believe in coincidences or luck. The Lord takes us down the path of life with His Plan, His Timing, and His Will. We recognize all the Lord has bestowed on us – the air we breathe, food we eat, running water, roof over our heads, our health, and much more! God has a plan; we must understand His plan. He gives us signs, so we open our eyes and ears to see, to listen to the Lord.
We have been married 40 years on May 28, 2023. We are tested daily. The Lord asks: Do you have Faith in me? Do You Trust in me?
We live our faith as Eucharistic ministers at church and to the homebound as well. Giving the Body of Christ to individuals is an amazing, life-changing experience. It is a privilege, not a right!
We give our sacrificial gift to DDD each year; it comes from our Heart. We know how important it is to share our gifts with others!
Be grateful to our Lord daily! We all are millionaires in many ways! We are here because He created us. We are his children; He loves us. Rejoice! Be glad! Be grateful!
