The leadership of Knights of Columbus Council #5347 established this fund in 2003. Per the wishes of John and Ann McDermott, whose bequest made the fund possible, the initial purpose of the fund is to provide scholarships to practicing Catholic high school seniors in Box Elder County. The one-time scholarship is intended to assist in paying first-year tuition at a post high school educational institution.
