Boy Scouts

About Catholic Boy Scouting:

The Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.  Its mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Catholic churches and Catholic organizations (such as the Knights of Columbus) my host and sponsor packs/troops.  Units may be of a predominant faith, thereby encouraging its members to participate more fully in the life, work, and mission of the church.  In fact, 65.9 percent of all units are chartered to faith-based organizations.  This page provides information on Catholic Scouting in the Diocese of Salt Lake City.  It includes helpful resources, community contacts, unit locations, and religious emblems.
