Foundation Funds

The Catholic Foundation of Utah receives, manages and administers three general types of funds:

Permanent Endowments:

Permanent endowments designate gifts to be invested; only appreciation on the gifts is used.

Temporarily Restricted Funds:

Temporarily restricted funds allow both gifts and appreciation on gifts to be used in certain cases or after a stated period of time.

Unrestricted Funds:

These funds are available for immediate and direct program support, as well as support for Foundation operations and liabilities.
